Boundaries with Parenting Critics

Gentle Parenting is more explaining consequences and following through. There is discipline and rules so it seems like you misunderstand the concept. Unless ypu mean physical discipline? Caillou and Ms. Rachel are educational, so that's also a bit confusing.

Gentle parenting can create unstable kids if not being responsible. kids want to feel safe and have a safe space with you to talk and trust. disciplining kids of course is a must. they wont learn otherwise, but there is different levels of discipline for every situation. I believe being authoritive is best with kids. not telling them “go to your room” or “stop yelling” “dont do that” say “how about we calm down and talk” or “lets find something else you can do instead of that” change the subject, and make the child feel seen. not invisible and resenting.
